Enjoying my time building a model carousel horse. I believe it's close to scale, so perhaps it could become a real life-sized carousel animal! Well, maybe some day.
In the meantime, I do have quite a few plans for this little sculpture. One involving a lesson plan for art teaching.
Hopefully this experiment turns out successful. Right now the project is resembling Frankenstein's monster... (At this stage, that was kind of expected).
Papier-mâché Preparation
Step 1: Armature Making (cardboard)
Step 2: Papier-mâché Week! (flour, salt, water, newspaper)
Build Stand, Drill, and Paint
Step 3: Drill and Build Stand (scrap wood and dowel)
Step 4: Prime and Paint (gesso, acrylic paint, finish)
Step 5: Secure horse (wood glue)
